Financial Institutions

Amsterdam Trade Bank (ATB) is a European bank based in Amsterdam, regulated by the De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. (DNB) and supervised by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiƫle Markten or AFM). We are a Challenger Trade Bank with the goal to revolutionise the financing of commodity trade flows and associated assets.

We partner with financial institutions around the world, and are always looking for financial institutions to join our network. Our membership of the Alfa Group provides us with a unique link from Western Europe to the CIS region, where we have an unparalleled depth of local knowledge. We actively promote and coordinate collaboration among the financial institutions in our network and facilitate counterparty relationships in trade-related financial products.

ATB has been drastically restructuring our portfolio to align with an increasingly guarded risk profile and a focus on premium compliance procedures. This is enabled by experts in our commercial network banking and back-office teams.
We are primarily funded by a solid retail deposit base in the Netherlands, Austria and Germany, and also receive funding support from our shareholders. We collaborate with other financial institutions to cover origination and maintenance of wholesale funding through a variety of products.
