Operations, TBO and Payments - AVP

We are looking for an Assistant Vice President Operations, Treasury Back Office and Payments to join our Operations team! 

The aim of the function is to execute relevant daily operations as well as to address straightforward issues using ATB standard procedures regarding the booking, control and reporting of Treasury deals and administration of payments.

Knowledge and requirements

  • ​​Education MBO+ or HBO level
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in international payments and Treasury Back Office administration
  • Knowledge of national and international payment systems (Swift, Target 2, etc.) and their procedures, rules and regulations (SEPA, PSD and PSD II, etc.)
  • Experience in working with SWIFT
  • Knowledge of banking instruments and procedures
  • Financial and treasury accounting experience
  • Understanding of FX/MM, Bonds and Common FX & IR derivatives
  • Good communication skills in English (both verbally and in writing)
  • Good communication skills in Russian will be considered to be an advantage
  • Experience in working with Equation (MISYS) is considered to be an advantage


  • Executing the settlement and confirmation processing and control as well as query resolution, including funds transfers
  • Processing of treasury transactions into the Treasury systems used, e.g. core banking system, Opics, including monitoring treasury related in- and outflows
  • Executing business risk controls as developed in close cooperation with the Risk department
  • Executing the Treasury Collateral Services, including the booking and administration of the Treasury transactions into Equation, processing of the relevant repayments and Collateral Bookings
  • Preparing notification for the clients of interest payments falling due. Monitoring receipt of cover on the next working day after the interest payment date
  • Keeping record of the turnover on the accounts of the client in case of turnover requirements
  • Informing the Treasury Department of all client non-fulfilment of obligations and interact with the Treasury Department on activities due to client non-fulfilment
  • Monitoring of Treasury deals to comply with EMIR (including reporting) and MIFID II obligations
  • Assisting Risk Management Department in handling overdue amounts in cases of defaults
  • Preparing invoices for clients in respect of charges and fees paid by ATB in connection with facilities
  • Preparing notification to the client and making entry on the account
  • Achieving revenue targets and other agreed goals and objectives
  • Checking the availability of collateral received and proper payments by the clients of interest and repayment
  • Charging bookings from our nostro accounts
  • Processing incoming and outgoing pay​ments
  • Processing Swist messages
  • Checking nostro positions
  • Checking DNB average balance
